Pitches

We leave some odd shaped tree limbs, so that they form natural screening between pitches. This sycamore tree is between "Tilt" and "Rising sun".

Some old limbs form natural bouncy seats, such as on "Tilt".

Up on the top meadows we rely more on "Findlays", these being the strips of grass we leave to sprout seedlings, wild flowers, grasses and saplings.
Inspired by a trip to Little Sparta, Ayrshire to see the work of garden artist ..Findlay Hamilton.
See "Pitch" map post on this blog.
